Easterseals South Florida

The Challenge Easterseals South Florida had just launched a beautiful new website with updated branding around "100% Equity, Inclusion, Access" - but their education program flyers looked like they were from 2015. Worse, they weren't actually accessible to many of the families they were trying to serve. Small text, poor color contrast, and confusing layouts meant parents couldn't easily find the information they needed about programs for their children with disabilities.
My Approach If you're going to talk about equity and access, your materials better live up to those values. I started with accessibility requirements first - not as an afterthought - and built the design around that. Clean typography, high contrast colors, logical information flow, and plenty of white space. I created a template system for their five main programs that felt cohesive with their new website while making sure every parent could easily find what they needed: what the program offers, who it's for, and how to get started.
The Results The numbers were great - 40% increase in program inquiries and 300% more PDF downloads - but what mattered most was the feedback from families. Parents said they finally understood what programs could help their children, and program coordinators felt confident presenting the materials. When accessibility drives your design decisions instead of limiting them, everyone wins. Plus, the template system cut future production time by 60%, so good design kept paying dividends.
